Counselling, therapy and clinical & workplace supervision
The Counselling Practice offers a prompt, professional and confidential service to individuals from the age of 12 upwards, and to all kinds of couples and families. The practice is based in the CBD of Hastings.
Leading celebration ceremonies
A naming ceremony, vows renewal, wedding ceremony or civil union, a special anniversary or many other occasions may be enhanced with the participation of a professionally qualified celebrant. Timothy is able to speak your speak or prepare a ceremony to your precise requirements; always appropriate to the occasion.
Paying that final tribute to a loved one now deceased
You only get one chance to get that final 'goodbye' as you want it; with the help of Timothy the final goodbye/funeral/ceremony/committal/memorial service will become a celebration of all the very best of the loved one, now deceased.
Mediation and conflict resolution
The Counselling Practice and Timothy offer a choice of formal interventions and less formal approaches to dispute resolution; whether involving families, couples separating or in work place disputes. Mediation may take place both in the workplace or in our beautiful mediation suite in the CBD of Hastings.
Training
The Counselling Practice offers a developing range of in house and external trainings relating to counselling and therapy and mediation and conflict resolution. As interest increases, more training opportunities will be offered. We recommend you check back frequently! Trainings take place throughout New Zealand.

Legend of Te Mata Peak
The Counselling Practice is based in the CBD of Hastings, built on land which forms part of the Heretaunga plains, lying at the foot of Te Mata Peak, and the images on the top of each page show the majestic Te Mata o Rongokako Toku Mangua, Te Mata Peak.
According to Mäori legend Te Mata hillscape is a sleeping giant, with the hill being the body of Mäori Chief, Te Mata O Rongokako.
Rongokako, a giant of a man, preyed upon the Heretaunga. The Heretaunga Chief's daughter was very beautiful and after seeing her, he decided to woo rather than make war. She set him many seemingly impossible tasks, which he accomplished until she told him to eat his way through the hill.
The giant began to plough his way through the hill but choked on a large rock and dropped to the ground where he still lies today.
